Role Purpose
The Project Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting on integrated project schedules across ADENCO’s civil and construction portfolio. The role provides accurate, timely and actionable programme information that supports effective planning, execution and decision‑making. Working closely with the Project Controls Manager, Project Managers and site teams, the Planner ensures schedules reflect scope, budget and contractual milestones, identifies emerging risks, and contributes to the safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery of projects.
About the Role
This position plays a central role in ADENCO’s project delivery function, ensuring planning activities are executed with precision, consistency and alignment to project objectives. Operating across multiple concurrent projects, the Planner supports operational, commercial and site teams with high‑quality scheduling, reporting and analysis.
The role requires strong technical capability in Primavera P6 and MS Project, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You will provide insights that drive proactive decision‑making, risk mitigation and programme optimisation, while supporting the uplift of planning maturity across the business and reinforcing ADENCO’s commitment to excellence and zero harm.
A key component of the role is the preparation of competitive tender programmes. You will work closely with estimating teams to develop realistic and commercially aligned bid schedules, analyse construction methodologies, and ensure tender submissions are supported by robust planning logic and sequencing.
Key Requirements | Qualifications & Licences - Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Current WA driver's licence.
- Construction industry general induction (White Card).
Experience - Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Planner or Scheduler role within construction, civil, resources or industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Experience with earned value management, progress measurement and S‑curve reporting.
- Experience working on multi‑disciplinary construction or civil projects.
- Prior experience in resources, energy or infrastructure sectors highly regarded.
- Extensive experience preparing tender programmes, supporting bid submissions, and developing schedule methodologies for competitive tenders.
Skills & Knowledge - Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and scheduling logic.
- Sound knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and cost/schedule integration.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex schedule data for varied audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across project, commercial and site teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
