Project/Production Manager

About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the production department and oversee every project from production planning through to final installation. Working closely with Sales & Estimating, you'll ensure projects transition seamlessly into production and are delivered on time, to budget and to the high standard Kitchens by Peter Gill is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Managing workshop production

• Scheduling projects and installations

• Leading and supporting workshop and installation teams

• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers

• Quality control throughout production and installation

• Managing production workflow and labour allocation

• Problem solving and resolving production challenges

• Improving systems and efficiencies

• Maintaining Workplace Health & Safety standards

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to company standards

About you

• Strong understanding of how custom joinery is manufactured and installed

• Experience leading workshop or installation teams

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to schedule multiple projects and manage competing priorities

• A positive, solutions-focused attitude

• Previous Production Manager, Factory Manager or Workshop Manager experience (desirable)

• Experience managing subcontractors (desirable)

• Operations or Project Management experience (desirable)

• Experience implementing systems and process improvements (desirable)
