About the role
At State Asphalt Services Pty Ltd, we've been building and maintaining road infrastructure for over 50 years. From major highways to local council roads, we deliver dependable surfacing and maintenance solutions that keep communities connected.
We're continuing to build our Spray Seal/Crack Seal Team and looking for Operators and Labourers to join us on road maintenance projects across NSW. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, we provide full training, great team support, and steady, meaningful work.
The RoleAs part of our Spray Seal/Crack Seal Crew, you'll be working outdoors in a small team to apply seal treatments to roads and pavements. These roles involve hands-on, physical work using mobile plant, hand tools, and sealant equipment — all aimed at extending the life of our roads and preventing further damage.
You'll be supported by a Crew Supervisor and work alongside experienced operators and labourers to deliver safe, high-quality work.
Positions AvailableOperators/Truck Drivers
Operate crack seal machines, blowers, and small plant
Drive MR/HR trucks to and from site
Assist with job setup and product application
Labourers
Support crew with manual tasks including road prep and clean-up
Use blowers, brooms, and handheld tools
Assist with worksite setup
White Card (Construction Induction) – required
Strong work ethic and reliability
Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
Ability to travel for regional jobs and work flexible hours
Safety-first mindset and willingness to work as part of a crew
Previous experience in road maintenance, civil construction, or similar outdoor work is preferred but not essential
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
