About the role
Parks Communities Officer
Under the Parks Communities program, we are looking for an experienced and community-focused Parks Communities Officer to join the Parks Branch, reporting directly to the Parks Communities Supervisor. This position plays a vital role in delivering volunteer programs, environmental projects, community events and trail maintenance initiatives that contribute to the protection and enhancement of Logan City's parks and natural areas.
The Parks Branch provides services through two programs, Parks Operations and Maintenance and Park Planning, Design and Capital Delivery, offering a collaborative and innovative work environment that values community partnerships, environmental stewardship and teamwork.
The Parks Communities Officer is responsible for delivering and supporting a range of community environmental programs, volunteer initiatives and maintenance projects across Logan City's parks network.
Working closely with volunteers, community groups, contractors, government agencies and key stakeholders, the role focuses on building community capacity, delivering environmental outcomes and maintaining high-quality parks, bushland and trail environments.
