Childcare Kitchen Hand

About the role

Working as part of our kitchen team, you will assist to provide fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children each day while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and care. You will be required to deliver food prepared in our commercial kitchen to our other service, on the Sunshine Coast, following internal processes.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where training, mentoring and professional development are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist to provide fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children each day

• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and care

• Deliver food prepared in our commercial kitchen to our other service on the Sunshine Coast

• Follow internal processes

About you

• Current blue card

• Current drivers licence

• Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen

• Reliable, proactive and willing to learn

• Understands the importance of food safety and hygiene practices

• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Values kindness, inclusion and teamwork

• Previous experience in a childcare, school, aged care or commercial kitchen setting (highly regarded)

• Knowledge of allergy management and dietary requirements (highly regarded)
