Shop hand & warehouse assistant

Auto West Paint Supplies is seeking a highly motivated staff member to work in a busy and growing environment. The job will entail both front of house sales, and back warehouse work where a friendly and outgoing attitude is appreciated.

The successful applicant must be well presented,  have a current driver's licence with a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. A forklift licence and experience in automotive paint is welcomed, however not entirely necessary, with the ability to learn on the job. This job may also entail the occasional delivery which may be required.

The job requires you to assist customers on a face to face basis, helping them with basic technical help and sales. General housekeeping within the retail section, and also processing orders for pick up. Warehouse duties consisting of pick/packing, loading vehicles, general cleaning etc.

Overall duties will include:

• General warehouse picking, packing, and stocking

• Retail sales

• Answering phones

• Computer invoicing

• Picking and packing orders

• Customer service

• Mixing paint - will learn on job

• Occasional delivering of goods to customers when necessary

Delivery duties include:

• Delivery driving to Brisbane and surrounding areas

• Delivering stock in a timely manner

• Pick up of Cash On Delivery with certain customers

• Cleaning vehicle

• Face-to-face sales interaction with end-users

The employee must be able to work in a team with a friendly and outgoing demeanor while being happy to help out in any tasks which are in need of assistance.
