Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
• Make, assemble, and cook food orders for in-store and delivery orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct quality checks on all foodstuffs upon delivery and prior to use, ensuring freshness and suitability.
• Prepare and modify meals to accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies
• Portion and plate cooked dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in serving sizes and presentation. 
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels of all food items, conducting regular stocktakes, and placing orders with suppliers to ensure stocks are fresh and complete. 
• Ensure all food items are correctly labelled, dated, and stored in designated temperature-controlled facilities (cool rooms, freezers, dry stores) at the end of each shift to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination. 
• Follow HACCP standards by monitoring critical control points, recording temperatures and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, apprentices, and kitchenhands, demonstrating correct food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety procedures to ensure a cohesive and efficient kitchen operation.

Skill & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of related working experience required, more experience is highly preferred.
• Certificates IV in hospitality Management or related qualification
