Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley is currently looking for a Full Time Meetings & Event Planner to join our team on a fixed term 6 month contract, covering a period of parental leave.

As a member of our Sales & Marketing Team and reporting to our Director of Sales, you will be responsible for connecting our clients and hotel operations. You will support in planning all meetings and events, as well as coordinating with operations and the clients during the meeting to ensure its success. You will also undertake associated follow up with the client after the meeting to gain feedback and discuss repeat business. You will also assist the Sales Team with other tasks as required.

Our Meeting & Events operation is unique and diverse so if you’re looking for a role that will give your exposure to Day Meetings, Gala Dinners, Weddings and Special Social Events (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Mother’s Day High Tea, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve) then this is the role for you!

For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who:

• Is approachable and has a real passion for providing seamless service to ensure a memorable guest experience

• Is dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional 

• Has a minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sales and/or Meetings & Events capacity within Australasia, with a proven track record of success

• Has experience with Salesforce/Delphi catering system welcomed

• Has a proactive approach to conversion, developing and maintaining strong relations with clients and stakeholders

• Is a strategic and tactical thinker who can establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time

• Boasts superior communication skills

• Is detail orientated

• Has the flexibility to work on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays in conjunction with designated sales activities or large events
