Drill and Blast Supervisor

About our role:
  
IMC is currently recruiting for experienced Drill and Blast Supervisors to support the expanding operations at Mt Holland with Covalent Lithium.

Working an 8:6 roster, this role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, execution, and monitoring of drill and blast activities on site.

You will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and compliant blasting practices while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  

  
Your focus in this role:

• Ensure drill and blast crews are appropriately trained, licensed and competent to carry out their duties
• Coordinate and supervise drilling and blasting activities in line with daily, short-term and long-term mining schedules
• Drive a strong safety culture by enforcing safe work practices, compliance standards and hazard awareness across all drill and blast activities
• Assist the Drill and Blast Superintendent in coordinating operational Services as required to achieve planned targets
• Monitor, coach and develop team performance, provide clear role expectations, and ensure crew align with operational targets
• Ensure accurate reporting of drill meters, explosive usage, blast performance and any variances impacting production

  
What You’ll Bring:
  

• Proven experience leading drill and blast crews, ideally in a supervisory capacity
• WA Shotfirer license and Dangerous Goods Card
• Statutory Supervisor Training (Section 26)
• Developed communication skills with the proven ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
• Strong understanding of drilling methodologies, blasting standards, explosive handling and regulatory compliance
• Sound computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems.
