Goolburri Aboriginal Health Advancement Co. Ltd is dedicated to advancing health and well-being services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We advocate for culturally appropriate healthcare and work closely with community leaders to ensure Aboriginal voices are heard. 

The Opportunity 

This position will work closely with the Manager, Healing and Wellbeing Program, to provide interventions for clients of the program.  The role will entail outreach service deliver from centre-based and community-based     settings, both in Toowoomba and outreach in the communities of the Darling Downs. 

 The Healing and Wellbeing Program aims to improve mental health and wellbeing in local communities.  We believe that recovery is an individual process and that with the right kind of support, everyone can live a life based on their own strengths, values and goals for the future.   

 The primary role of the position will be to assist people to better manage a wide range of issues including grief & loss, depression, trauma, family and/or relationship matters, and any other issues which impact on their mental, social and emotional well-being.  The program provides holistic, culturally appropriate case work. 

 About you  

 Always be well presented, friendly, courteous, and obliging when dealing with member of the community and colleagues  

• Demonstrate commitment toward ongoing professional development 

• Ensure communication is factual, accurate and presented in a clear and concise manner 

Must haves: 

• Current Blue Card Holder

• Current Driver's Licence 

• Cultural Competency would be highly desirable
