Concentis is a project resourcing firm specialising in mining, energy and infrastructure. We place project professionals on contract and permanent roles with some of Australia's largest resource, infrastructure and energy companies, including Rio Tinto, Gladstone Area Water Board, Gladstone Ports Corporation, Alpha HPA, Powerlink and Acciona on projects across Australia. We operate from Brisbane, Gladstone and Townsville, supported by a dedicated sourcing team.
Gladstone
We have been recruiting in Gladstone for over five years. It is an established business with a solid client base across contract and permanent recruitment and a project pipeline in transmission, water and utilities, decarbonisation, port infrastructure and renewable energy that is growing. We are looking for an ambitious person to take it further.
The role
This is a hands on commercial recruitment role. You will be the face of Concentis in Gladstone and Central Queensland, and you will own the region's growth across both contract and permanent business.
In practice that means:
- Business development and client relationship management, hiring managers, project leaders, site visits, job qualification, rates and salary negotiations.
- Recruiting on priority and specialist roles, contract and permanent, alongside a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist based in the office with you.
- Building the project pipeline, knowing what is coming, who is hiring and where contractors are finishing before roles reach the market.
- Leading and developing the local team, coaching, mentoring and building recruitment capability as the business grows.
- Representing Concentis in the Gladstone community, industry networking, local events and sponsorships.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and an Onboarding Administrator in Gladstone, a dedicated sourcing team for volume, and the Brisbane office behind you.
The role is full time and based in Gladstone. You will be regularly on site and in front of clients, this is not a desk bound role. We will consider a relocation package for the right person.
Who we are looking for
Two backgrounds work here.
An experienced 360 recruiter who has won clients, filled contract and permanent roles and carried a target, ideally in mining, energy, construction or heavy industry, and wants to own a region rather than a desk.
Or a well networked business development or account professional from labour hire, industrial services or a related field, who knows Gladstone's projects and decision makers and is ready to learn the white collar recruitment side properly. We will invest in that.
Either way, you will need to show us:
- You have personally opened clients and won work.
- You have owned a target and have the results to show for it.
- You are credible with project or site managers on scope, rates, mobilisation and market insights.
- You are organised, activity in the CRM, priorities clear, nothing falls through the cracks.
- You want to be in the market and part of the local community, not behind a desk.
