Fraser Coast Hospice is seeking a dynamic, creative and community-driven Fundraising & Events Coordinator to lead approved fundraising events and campaigns that directly support compassionate end-of-life care in our 6-bed community hospice.

This is not just an events role — it’s a chance to help sustain dignity, comfort, and care for people and families at one of life’s most important stages.

About the role

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering approved fundraising events, campaigns, and community initiatives that generate vital income for hospice services.

Working closely with the Support Services Lead, CEO–Director of Care, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, volunteers, and community partners, you will bring together people, ideas, and energy to create meaningful and successful fundraising outcomes.

You will also play a key role in supporting Fundraising Working Parties, helping turn ideas into action and ensuring initiatives are delivered professionally, safely, and successfully.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan and deliver approved fundraising events and campaigns

• Coordinate the annual fundraising & events calendar (including budgets and reporting)

• Build strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community groups

• Support creative new fundraising ideas from concept to delivery

• Manage event logistics from start to finish (pre, during & post-event evaluation)

• Coordinate and support volunteers during events

• Support Fundraising Working Parties (agendas, minutes & actions)

• Manage fundraising promotion across social media & website updates

• Assist with newsletters and donor communications

• Prepare monthly fundraising reports and maintain accurate records

About you

You are energetic, organised, and deeply community-minded. You thrive in roles where no two days are the same and where your work has real purpose.

You bring:

• Experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or community engagement

• Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience working with volunteers or community groups

• Strong attention to detail and administration skills

• Confidence with social media and digital tools (desirable)

• Flexibility to attend occasional evening/weekend events

Qualifications

• Year 12 or equivalent

• Certificate III in Events or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence

• Current National Police Check (essential)

Hours & conditions

• 🕒 25 hours per week (Part-time)

• 📍 Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm

• 🎪 Flexibility required for approved fundraising events (evenings & weekends as needed)

• 💼 Award: Health Professionals & Support Services Award – Level 7
