Cinema Duty Manager

The Duty Manager (Cinema Worker Level 5) is responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of the cinema, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and supporting employees across Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.
• Training staff to ensure performance, customer service, and operational standards are met.
• Applying quality control procedures across all areas of the cinema.
• Working independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Exercising sound judgement and discretion within the scope of the role.
• Completing administrative duties as required.
• Overseeing daily food preparation operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with standard recipe cards, and adherence to food hygiene requirements.
• Preparing and managing cinema programming schedules.
• Managing the projection area and associated operations.
• Completing bio-box administration and preparing reports.
• Supervising and coordinating technical operations throughout the cinema complex, including computer systems.
• Managing local film content, including playlists and alternative programming.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
• Maintaining projector, lighting, and other technical equipment.
• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, or arranging external maintenance as required.
• Undertaking other duties as directed by the Cinema Manager.

The Cinema industry is a seven-day week environment and this position includes shift work on a roster that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays as the business requires. A full availability through the upcoming Christmas, New Years and school holiday period is a must. Dendy is closed on Christmas Day.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $15,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
