CNC Plate Processing Machine Programmer - FICEP

IKAD Engineering is a proudly Western Australian private company providing Project Management and Engineering solutions across Defence, Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas and Water sectors.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our team in Henderson.

This hands-on role combines CNC programming and machine operation, working across a variety of fabrication and engineering projects.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will:

• Program, set up and operate CNC plate and pipe processing machinery.

• Program and/or operate FICEP Gemini CNC plate processing machines.

• Program and/or operate 5-Axis CNC pipe processing machines.

• Develop and modify CNC programs from engineering drawings and specifications.

• Use AutoCAD and Steel Projects to support programming and production.

• Identify and correct programming errors and optimise programs where required.

• Inspect finished components to ensure specifications and tolerances are achieved.

• Reverse engineer components where drawings are not available.

• Complete job sheets, program backups and required production records.

• Support production targets and maintain equipment in a safe working condition.

• Previous CNC programming and operating experience.

• Experience with FICEP Gemini and/or 5-Axis CNC processing machines highly regarded.

• Experience with AutoCAD and Steel Projects highly regarded.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.

• Fabrication, machining or engineering industry experience.

• Strong computer and technical skills.

• Trade background and/or estimating and scheduling experience advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Reliable, organised and self-motivated approach.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Current National Police Clearance or willingness and ability to obtain one – essential.

• Current Driver's Licence and relevant High Risk Work Licences desirable.
