Landscape Gardener - Retirement Village

Tranquil Retirement Group (TRG) offers quality Retirement Villages within the Redlands, presenting both smart designs and premium locations in the heart of both Victoria Point and Ormiston. 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced gardener to become an integral member of our small Ormiston Rise Retirement Village team. Providing gardening & landscaping services to our residents and as part of the ongoing development on site.

The main duties include:

• General garden maintenance

• Mowing & hedging on a rotational basis

• Landscape construction and remodelling

• Occasional Concreting, paving, fencing and demolition and refurbishment works

• Programmed Building Cleaning

• Action work orders as directed by management and front office team members

• Perform the required gardening tasks to satisfy the agreed quality and timeframe

• Maintain professional working relationships 

• Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of equipment

• Ensure all necessary WHS requirements are in place and adhered to

About You

• A motivated self-starter with a proven track record of successfully delivering best practice and quality outcomes to clients and company.

• Able to work closely with our small team and help deliver projects in a timely manner, big or small. You will be safety conscious and able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• A positive attitude, respectful nature and superior customer service skills

• To complete our team you will be enthusiastic, yet patient, organised and results driven. 

• You will naturally display a high level of communication - particularly effective listening skills and have a demonstrated ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities.

• At least 5 years’ experience in similar work and understanding of the needs retirees and their love of our gardens

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience in landscaping

• Experience in towing trailers

• Experience in construction (not essential)

• First aid certificate

• Clean LR drivers Licence

• Right to work in Australia – no sponsoring provided
