MSD Mining Solutions is an underground mining contractor solely focused on delivering production drilling and boxhole service to the Australian mining industry. A privately owned business, the fleet consists of current model Epiroc drills, completing over 1 million metres production drilling annually. MSD Mining Solutions invites candidates who share a passion for growing the company to join us on our journey.
About the Role
MSD Mining Solutions have production driller positions available at various sites within Australia.
We’re seeking experienced production drillers to support the strong growth of our business, with a limited number of trainee opportunities also available for people who have spent at least five years working underground and are ready to step into a drilling career.
The role involves operating a modern fleet of company‑owned Epiroc long‑hole production drill rigs fitted with RCS 4 and RCS 5 systems; while Epiroc experience is preferred, it isn’t essential. This is a site‑based FIFO position on a 2‑weeks‑on/2‑weeks‑off roster, working both day and night shifts, and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring WHS safety culture is embraced and displayed on site as per MSD values.
Diagnostic trouble shooting and fault finding.
Maintaining a link of communication between site and the Operations/ Maintenance Management team.
Sound knowledge of basic mechanical skills around production drill maintenance.
Ability to safely meet production drilling targets on a consistent basis.
Ensure drilling is conducted to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Sound understanding reading and understanding drill plans and survey markups.
Ability to work confidently with minimal supervision.
About You
Previous experience as a production driller. Epiroc experience advantageous, but not necessary as we will provide training. 5 years underground mining experience for those inexperienced.

Ability to document work completed and communicate with the team and client
Current manual driver's license
National police clearance required
Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical
Full Australian working rights (mandatory)
