Location: Essendon campus, with regular travel to all campus locations
Role Type: Full-time, Ongoing | Hybrid
Salary: $80,812 plus 12% superannuation

The Opportunity
We're looking for two Events Coordinators to join our team and help bring more than 70 events each year to life across Bendigo Kangan Institute.

Working closely with the Events Lead, Marketing team and stakeholders across BKI, you'll coordinate a diverse calendar of events including open days, expos, graduations, awards nights and major flagship events.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines detailed event coordination with active onsite delivery. You'll be there to help bring each event to life, supporting venue set-up, bump-in and bump-out, arranging signage and displays, moving event materials and ensuring everything is ready for attendees.

Alongside the physical delivery of events, you'll develop run sheets, coordinate suppliers, manage event communications, oversee merchandise and materials, and respond to issues as they arise on the day.

You'll need to be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, working on your feet and travelling regularly between our metropolitan and regional campuses. Some early starts, evening and weekend work will also be required.

What You'll Do

• Help plan and deliver more than 70 events each year, including open days, expos, graduations and awards.
• Provide hands-on onsite support, including set-up, bump-in, pack-down and moving event materials.
• Prepare event briefs, run sheets, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate venues, suppliers, signage, merchandise and event logistics.
• Manage quotes, invoices, payments, stock and other event administration.
• Support event campaigns, email communications, student awards and post-event reporting.

What You'll Bring
You'll be a highly organised and practical events professional who enjoys being onsite, working with others and taking a hands-on role in event delivery.

You'll bring:

• A relevant degree or TAFE qualification in events, or at least two years' experience in a similar event coordination role.
• Experience supporting the physical delivery of events, including set-up, pack-down, bump-in and bump-out.
• The capacity and willingness to lift, move and arrange event materials and equipment safely.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• A calm, practical and solution-focused approach when priorities change or issues arise onsite.
• Flexibility to travel across BKI campuses and work early mornings, evenings and weekends when required.
• Experience using Eloqua or another marketing automation platform would be advantageous.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly as part of the role
