Reporting to the Director, Office of the IGEM (Deputy Inspector-General), the Manager Evaluation and Review leads a team to plan and conduct evaluations and reviews to assess the capacity, capability and performance of the emergency management sector against intended community-focused outcomes and leading practice.

You will:

• lead system-wide evaluations and reviews of emergency management capability and performance
• identify key risks, trends and issues to help set review priorities
• manage complex research, data collection and analysis using different methods
• provide expert advice on emergency management issues, research findings and leading methods
• prepare clear reports and advice while supporting your team to learn and grow.

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable. You should have strong experience leading high-level evaluation and review work.

Your experience should include strong research, analysis and investigation skills. You should also understand the emergency management sector and how its systems work.

You should also have:

• strong evaluation and review skills that help you lead complex work from start to finish
• high-level research and analysis skills that help you find clear answers from complex information
• people leadership skills that help your team perform well and build their capability
• flexibility and sound judgement to solve problems, work with others and focus on community outcomes.
