Woodcroft College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Inclusive Education Officer to join our Middle/Senior School team on a permanent, part-time, term-time basis.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the educational experience of students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. Working alongside teachers and the Inclusive Education team, you will provide individual and small-group support, contribute to differentiated learning and help implement strategies that enable students to engage confidently and successfully in their learning.

What you'll be doing

As an Inclusive Education Officer, you will:

• Provide individual and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs and disabilities, helping them actively engage in learning and participate fully in College life.

• Work collaboratively with teachers to support differentiated lessons, learning tasks and assessments that respond to individual student needs.

• Implement reasonable adjustments and tailored learning, wellbeing and behaviour strategies under the direction of teaching and management staff.

• Support the development, implementation and review of Individual Learning Plans, student profiles and other relevant documentation.

• Deliver targeted support for students with identified needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, language disorders and other learning difficulties.

• Build positive, respectful relationships with students that promote inclusion, engagement, independence and self-discipline.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, families, Allied Health Professionals and other relevant stakeholders to support consistent approaches to student learning, behaviour and wellbeing.

• Contribute to excursions and other College activities, ensuring students are supported to participate fully.

• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to the effective operation of the Inclusive Education Program.

• Share knowledge, strategies and practical expertise that strengthen inclusive practice across the College.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is student-centred, collaborative and genuinely passionate about inclusive education. You will bring:

• A Certificate III in Education Support.

• Experience supporting student learning, particularly students with special needs and disabilities, ideally within a school environment.

• A genuine interest in understanding and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

• The ability to build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with students, teachers and the wider College community.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work with limited supervision while managing competing priorities.

• Confidence using technology, including Office 365 and assistive technologies that support student learning.

• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate.

• A commitment to confidentiality, professional standards and the policies and procedures of the College.

• Support for the Christian ethos of Woodcroft College and a commitment to the values of independent education.
