We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive - Groups, Events & Catering to join our high-performing Sales team. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong background in large hotels, conferences, meetings, incentives, and major events, who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Position Summary

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving group, conference and catering revenue for the hotel. Working closely with operational departments, you will manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract execution, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, develop and secure new Group, Meetings, Events and Catering business opportunities.
• Manage and convert qualified sales leads through strategic prospecting, relationship building and client engagement.
• Collaborate with operational teams to deliver tailored conference, meeting and event solutions that exceed guest expectations.
• Prepare compelling proposals, presentations and contracts with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Conduct professional site inspections, familiarisations and client entertainment activities focused on showcasing the hotel's premium event facilities and driving conversion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, agencies and key community stakeholders.
• Utilise strong negotiation and closing skills to secure profitable business and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Support the hotel's customer engagement strategy by creating memorable guest experiences that drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and business opportunities to contribute to sales strategies and revenue growth initiatives.
• Represent Sheraton and Marriott International as a brand ambassador within the local business and events community.

About You

Essential Experience

• Proven success in a sales role within a large hotel, convention hotel, luxury hotel or events venue.
• Demonstrated experience selling conferences, meetings, catering, group accommodation and major events.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and event management processes.
• Proven ability to negotiate and close complex sales opportunities.
• Experience building relationships with corporate clients, event planners and industry partners.
• Full working rights in Australia.
