Junior Software Developer - Temporary opportunity until 30 June 2027

In this role, you'll:

Play an important role in supporting the design, development, and delivery of high quality software solutions using modern JavaScript-based frameworks. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will support with the translation of business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions, producing solution designs, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects on time.

The role also involves supporting deployment activities, maintaining technical documentation, participating in discovery and analysis activities, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative and customer-focused digital solutions.

This role will be working on the ONG (Opal Next Gen) project.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have around 2–3 years of professional experience in software development and a demonstrated passion for building high-quality solutions.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience developing applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience delivering enterprise scale customer facing websites and/or mobile applications
• Experience developing and deploying applications within AWS cloud environments, with exposure to serverless architectures highly regarded
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, i.e., React and React Native
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or a related discipline

This is a fixed-term role until 30 June 2027. This role is based in a hybrid environment, with 50% of your time spent in the office. You will typically work five days per month from our Parramatta, office and a further five days from another TfNSW office location. To support team collaboration, you will ideally be based in the Parramatta office every Tuesday & Wednesday. This is a Grade 6 role, paying between $111,625.00 - $122,786.00 + super.

The grade level will be assessed based on your relevant skills, experiences, capabilities, and qualifications etc.
