Sales Assistant

About the role

This is a part-time role of approximately 15-20 hours per week, with a Saturday morning being an essential part of the position. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to pick up additional hours during busier periods, including weddings, school formals, races and seasonal sales, as well as helping cover shifts when other team members are away.

Key responsibilities

• Providing friendly, helpful and professional customer service

• Assisting customers with clothing and product selection

• Helping customers with sizing and fitting

• Selling suits, shirts, trousers, casual wear and other menswear

• Maintaining a high standard of store presentation

• Replenishing stock and keeping the shop floor organised

• Processing sales and handling the point-of-sale system

• Receiving and unpacking stock

• Assisting with general store duties

• Helping create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for customers

About you

• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers

• Reliable and punctual

• Well presented

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Interested in fashion, clothing or menswear

• A quick learner with a positive attitude

• Willing to help out when the business is busy or staff are away

• Available to work Saturday mornings

• Retail experience is preferred but not essential
