About the role
Are you an experienced leader ready to make a lasting impact on community assets and public spaces?
Flinders Shire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Open Spaces and Community Assets Coordinator to lead the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of our parks, gardens, recreational facilities, community assets and Council-operated enterprises. This diverse and rewarding role plays a key part in enhancing community liveability, supporting tourism, and ensuring our public spaces remain safe, attractive and well maintained.
In this role, you’ll:
Coordinate the maintenance and presentation of parks, gardens, cemeteries, public amenities, recreational facilities and other community assets.
Lead and support operational staff, contractors and facility managers to achieve service delivery outcomes.
Act as Council's Aerodrome Manager, providing oversight of compliance, safety and operational requirements for Hughenden Airport.
Oversee the performance and operational management of Council-owned facilities including the caravan park, swimming pool, community gym, landfill and worker accommodation.
Coordinate local laws service delivery and provide operational support to the Local Laws Officer.
Manage maintenance programs, budgets, contractor performance and asset improvement initiatives.
Engage with community groups, sporting clubs, airport stakeholders and residents to deliver positive community outcomes.
