EARLY YEARS TEACHER

Position Details
St Bernadette’s Primary School is seeking a suitably qualified, dynamic and professional teacher who is committed to the pursuit of educational excellence and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. The position involves teaching Religious Education.

St Bernadette's Primary School is a two stream school catering for boys and girls from Three Year Old Kindy to Year 6. The school boasts large, well maintained grounds and is situated under the Peppermint Trees in Port Kennedy. The school enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. We place strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.
 
Selection Criteria
Applications are invited from enthusiastic educators who:
• Are practicing Catholics and prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to plan and implement engaging learning programs that enhance student learning
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to contribute to a positive staff culture
• Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Use assessment, data tracking and intervention planning to inform teaching and learning
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment
• Understand how explicit teaching, differentiated instruction and higher order inquiry based learning strategies are used to support improved learning outcomes.
• Experience using PLD and Talk for Writing Programs is desirable

Qualifications Required
A relevant four year tertiary qualification
Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or working towards
