Digital Healthcare Operations Manager

About the role

You will take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the business across a busy telehealth medical practice and associated pharmacy environment. You'll inherit an established team and operating business, but your real mandate is to make it better. That means improving structure, developing people, strengthening accountability, removing operational bottlenecks and building capacity for continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and developing administrative, operational and customer-facing teams

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice

• Working closely with pharmacy leadership to ensure smooth operations across the complete patient journey

• Workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation

• Recruitment, onboarding and performance management

• Payroll oversight and coordination

• Establishing clear KPIs and accountability across the team

• Monitoring operational performance and reporting to the founders

• Improving workflows across the patient journey

• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical solutions

About you

• Healthcare experience strongly preferred, particularly within medical practices, specialist clinics, pharmacy, allied health, dental or another regulated healthcare environment

• Demonstrated ability to lead people, create structure, solve problems and make a healthcare business run exceptionally well

• Exceptionally organised

• Takes ownership rather than waiting for direction

• Confident leading people and having difficult conversations when required

• Understands workforce planning, rostering and payroll

• Comfortable managing performance and holding people accountable

• Thinks commercially and understands the importance of operational KPIs

• Can identify inefficiencies and actually fix them

• Process-driven without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
