PARC Engineering is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering and project delivery team in Applecross, Western Australia.
The successful applicant will provide professional electrical engineering support across construction and project delivery activities, applying engineering knowledge and judgement to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, approved designs and applicable Australian Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret electrical engineering drawings, designs, specifications and technical documentation.
- Provide electrical engineering input into the planning, design, coordination and delivery of electrical systems and installations.
- Assist with engineering calculations, technical assessments and the preparation and review of engineering documentation.
- Review electrical installation methodologies and monitor construction activities against approved designs, project specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate electrical engineering activities during construction and project delivery, including monitoring progress and resolving technical issues.
- Inspect and review electrical works and quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
- Identify, investigate and assist in resolving technical and engineering issues arising during project delivery.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams regarding electrical engineering matters.
- Assist with procurement by reviewing technical requirements and assessing the suitability of electrical materials and equipment.
- Prepare and review technical reports, engineering records, progress reports and project documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning and verification activities to ensure electrical installations meet design and performance requirements.
- Participate in HSEQ processes, risk assessments, toolbox meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience - Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- At least one year of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within construction, engineering or project delivery environments.
- Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles, design documentation and Australian Standards.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, quality records and construction activities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
