Purchasing Officer

The Opportunity

At Downer Energy & Utilities, we deliver essential services that power and connect communities across Australia. We are seeking a detail focused Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team and provide transactional and systems support across a major contract.

Working closely with Buyers, Project Teams and Accounts Payable, you will play a critical role in supporting compliant and efficient procurement operations while ensuring purchasing activities are accurately processed and maintained within JD Edwards and InEight.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in purchasing, administration, procurement or finance.
• Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, oil and gas or similar industries will be highly regarded.
• Understanding of procure to pay and source to contract processes.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exposure to JD Edwards, InEight or similar procurement systems will be advantageous.
• A proactive and solutions focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Business or a related discipline are desirable but not essential.
