PM Facilities Coordinator

• Ensure all RM/CM work orders are completed within the specified time frame and meet Time – Cost – Quality criteria.
• Provide supervision and guidance to all relevant in-house trades and contractors.
• Complete maintenance, testing, and service requirements within the allocated time frame, budget, and specified quality standards.
• Ensure engineering maintenance database Oracle FUSION information is maintained and kept up to date.
• Assist with the implementation of projects in consultation with Facilities Managers and other key stakeholders.
• Manage contractor performance and ensure effective management of contractors on-site.
• Support and take full responsibility for the RM Facility Coordinator’s role during their absence, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of facilities and management of planned maintenance requests.
• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to dealing with customer requirements, always maintaining a professional customer service approach.
• Actively lead and promote the Vision, Mission, and values of Monash Health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed financial and other relevant records.
• Indicative attendance 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. One Accrued Day Off per month.

About You

To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:

• TAFE qualification or related discipline in Facilities Management, Building Services.
• Preferably trade qualified tradesperson, with an A-Class Electrical Licence, Plumbing Licence, or similar industry recognised qualifications.
• Proven experience in Facilities Management or Building Maintenance, ideally within a healthcare or largescale commercial setting.
• A strong understanding of Essential Services Maintenance, relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes, and OH&S legislation.
• Experience in managing contractors and third-party vendors in the facilities services industry.
• Knowledge of healthcare-specific statutory

Requirements for the role: 

• Practical experience in facilities and maintenance management, including both planned maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance (RM).
• General knowledge of the operation and maintenance of building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire systems, and other essential services.
• Ability to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
• Strong understanding of building and facilities management software (e.g., BEIMS/PULSE) to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and implement cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with managing budgets and financial records in the facilities management context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Facilities Managers, clinical departments) and external contractors.
• Drivers licence
