Position Overview
Ready to start a hands-on career? ANSTO’s Apprenticeship Program gives you the chance to earn while you learn, build real trade skills and be part of work that supports Australia’s leading nuclear science and technology organisation.

About the Apprenticeship
Our apprenticeships are designed for people who are ready to start a hands-on career in electronics, electrical, mechanical or fabrication trades. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet — if you’re curious, practical, reliable and willing to learn, we’ll support you to build the skills, confidence and workplace behaviours needed to become a qualified tradesperson.
Opportunities may include:
Over the 4-year apprenticeship, you will work full time, 36.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This includes your weekly TAFE day as part of your ordinary working hours while you complete your relevant trade certification.
As an ANSTO apprentice, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in a unique science and technology environment while completing a nationally recognised trade qualification. Depending on your trade pathway, this may include experience in:
