About the role

ZH Doctors is seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Medical Receptionists to join teams at Carseldine and Cleveland. We are looking for motivated, reliable and patient-focused team members who enjoy working in a busy General Practice environment and take pride in delivering an excellent standard of patient care and service.

Registered Nurse – General Practice

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are confident working in General Practice and enjoy a varied clinical role.

Key responsibilities

• Immunisations and vaccinations

• Wound care and dressings

• Chronic disease management

• Health assessments and care planning

• ECGs and spirometry

• Iron infusions

• Assisting GPs with minor procedures

• Patient education and preventative health

• Infection prevention and control

• Cold chain management

Medical Receptionist – General Practice

We are also seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our front-of-house teams. Our receptionists play an important role in the patient journey and the day-to-day operation of our practices. We are looking for people who are professional, organised, friendly and confident working in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting patients

• Managing a busy reception desk

• Answering and managing incoming telephone calls

• Booking and managing patient appointments

• Processing Medicare and private billing

• Taking and receipting patient payments

• Managing patient enquiries professionally and efficiently

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

• Supporting the day-to-day administration of the practice

• Providing excellent customer service to our patients

About you

Registered Nurse requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Previous General Practice / Primary Care nursing experience highly regarded

• Immunisation experience/qualifications

• Strong clinical and patient-care skills

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work confidently and independently within your scope of practice

• Knowledge of infection control and cold chain requirements

• A proactive and team-focused approach

Medical Receptionist requirements:

• Previous medical reception experience is highly regarded

• Knowledge of Medicare and General Practice billing

• Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills

• Strong computer and administrative skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment

• High attention to detail

• Professional and compassionate approach to patients

• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations

• Reliable, punctual and team focused
