Social Designer

Bring brands to life through social-first design

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media, design and emerging trends? Michael Hill is looking for a talented Social Designer to create engaging content that connects with customers and drives brand impact across our digital channels.

Working closely with our Creative and Social teams, you'll develop compelling content and marketing assets that support retail, brand and digital marketing initiatives. From concept development through to final execution, you'll help bring campaigns to life across multiple platforms. 

Work in a hybrid setting with time split between our Brisbane office and home.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create engaging social-first content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest
• Design static, motion and video assets aligned to brand guidelines
• Contribute creative ideas and innovative concepts for campaigns and content briefs
• Plan and execute content shoots across studio, in-store and on-location environments
• Monitor social trends and platform updates to keep content relevant and engaging
• Prepare and finalise artwork to a high standard with strong attention to detail
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver creative solutions that drive engagement and brand growth

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Graphic Design or similar creative role
• Strong graphic design and visual storytelling capability
• Experience creating content across static, motion and video formats
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other design tools
• A solid understanding of social media trends, platform behaviours and emerging content formats
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for creativity and continuous improvement
• Tertiary qualification in Design or a related discipline
