HC Tug Driver - PM/Night Shift

Multiquip Poultry a national company dedicated to servicing the poultry industry in Australia. We manage all aspects of transporting live birds from growing farms to processing plants, including the movement of eggs, fully grown birds, feed and grain. 

We are looking for an HC Tug Driver to join our team.

Location: Murarrie

Shift: 4:30PM to 3AM start - Monday to Friday, with weekends as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Primarily based at an offsite processing facility. Commence shift and finish shift at Murrarie depot.

• Safely transport full trailers from the weighbridge to the holding area under the canopy.

• Move empty, cleaned trailers from the wash bay to the designated holding area.

• Comply with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures, including adherence to marked “no-go” zones.

• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Operate vehicles safely in accordance with WHS regulations.

• Maintain accurate records and communicate trailer movements clearly with the team.

About You:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar driving role.

• Confident operating heavy vehicles, including reversing into loading docks.

• Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR).

• Experience using logbooks or Electronic Work Diaries (EWD).

• Flexible and available for weekday shifts and occasional backloads.

• Knowledge of fatigue management and basic mass management principles.

• A strong team player who also works well independently.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working without supervision.

Requirements:

• Valid HC Licence

• Tug driving experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)

• Proficient in hooking and unhooking trailers
