About the Role

MotorOne Autobody is seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join our team in Northgate, QLD on a full-time basis.

As a Tesla Approved Repairer, we work on some of the industry's most advanced vehicles, alongside a wide range of leading automotive brands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern repair facility committed to quality workmanship, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning

• Mix and match paint colours to manufacturer specifications

• Apply paints, coatings, and finishes using spray-painting equipment

• Inspect completed paintwork to ensure a high-quality finish and colour accuracy

• Carry out paint blending and refinishing repairs as required

• Ensure all work meets manufacturer, quality, and safety standards

• Identify and rectify paint defects and imperfections

• Work collaboratively with panel beaters, estimators, and the repair team

• Complete job documentation and repair records accurately

• Maintain spray booth equipment and a clean, safe work environment

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing / Spray Painting (or equivalent)

• Previous experience as a Spray Painter in an automotive collision repair environment

• Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems, colour matching, and refinishing techniques

• Experience working with modern spray-painting equipment and paint technologies

• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality finishes

• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional workmanship

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to workplace safety standards
