Join Team Somerset as a Crew Leader!

As a Crew Leader in the Waste Management department, you will ensure the efficient day-to-day operations, maintenance and construction of Council’s waste infrastructure and associated record keeping. You will also perform various duties in a safe and efficient manner including weighbridge operation, handling monetary transactions, operation of Council plant and equipment and as required, a range of physical tasks.

To be successful in the role, you will require:

• Sound knowledge of work health and safety requirements;

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills;

• Experience in the supervision of employees;

• Experience in waste management activities as relevant to the position and work crew;

• Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant, machinery and tools.
