We're seeking an experienced and commercially astute Hotel General Manager to lead our iconic Sydney CBD property and shape its next chapter of success.

Perfectly located in the heart of Sydney, Vibe Hotel Sydney is a dynamic, full-service hotel featuring:

198 contemporary guest rooms and suitesFlexible conference and event facilities for up to 200 delegatesThe popular Storehouse Sydney Central Café & BarRooftop pool and fitness centreA diverse mix of corporate, conference and leisure guests

Reporting to the Area General Manager, you'll have full accountability for hotel performance, guest satisfaction, team engagement and owner relationships. This is a highly visible senior leadership role where you'll drive operational excellence, commercial growth and a high-performing culture.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading Hotel Performance

Deliver strong commercial outcomes across revenue, profitability, market share and guest satisfactionDevelop and execute strategic business plans to maximise hotel performanceDrive revenue optimisation across Rooms, Food & Beverage and Conference & EventsMonitor financial performance through forecasting, budgeting and effective cost management

Inspiring and Developing Teams

Create an engaging, high-performance culture where people can grow and succeedLead, coach and develop leaders across all hotel departmentsBuild strong succession plans and talent pipelinesChampion team engagement, accountability and continuous improvement

Delivering Exceptional Guest Experiences

Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards and operational excellenceFoster a guest-centric culture focused on memorable experiences and service excellenceRespond effectively to complex operational challenges and critical incidentsMaintain a visible presence across the hotel, supporting both guests and teams

Building Strong Stakeholder Partnerships

Develop trusted relationships with owners, corporate stakeholders and key partnersLead owner reporting, property reviews and business performance discussionsOversee asset management and CAPEX planning initiativesRepresent the hotel within the local community and broader industry

About You

You are an accomplished hotel leader who combines commercial expertise with genuine people leadership.

You'll bring:

Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a comparable senior hotel leadership positionStrong operational expertise across Rooms, Food & Beverage and Conference & EventsDemonstrated success growing revenue, profitability and overall hotel performanceExperience managing hotel budgets, forecasting, business planning and asset managementExceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsA hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage, coach and inspire diverse teamsStrong commercial acumen and understanding of hotel performance metrics, including RevPAR and GOPExperience leading change, driving innovation and improving operational outcomesSound knowledge of WHS, food safety, compliance and workforce management practicesFull, unrestricted Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available)
