Electrical Project Manager

Pearl Recruitment are partnered with one of Australia's most respected electrical engineering and contracting businesses who have a long-standing reputation for delivering major infrastructure and commercial projects across the country.
  
Specialising in electrical engineering, construction, preventative maintenance and data communications, they've played a key role in delivering some of Australia's most recognisable projects, including hospitals, airports, stadiums, universities and large commercial developments.
  
Located in Perth’s southern suburbs, they're seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-profile electrical construction projects.
  
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of projects from award through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Manage anywhere from 4- 5 electrical construction projects from start to finish ranging in value from 1/2 Mil - $3 Mil in value 
• Lead and support project teams to achieve successful outcomes
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget
• Manage project costs, forecasting and financial performance
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and procurement
• Manage project risks, variations and contractual obligations
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards and quality requirements
• Prepare project progress reports and financial updates

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Solid experience in managing electrical / construction projects 
• An Electrical Trade qualification or Electrical Engineering qualification
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness with strong budgeting and financial management experience
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
• A sound understanding of construction contracts and project delivery

Highly Regarded

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Management
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects
