JRT Group has existing and upcoming civil projects in Rockhampton and Yeppoon and is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join the team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of civil construction projects while contributing to project delivery, quality outcomes, and team success.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of civil projects through effective planning, coordination, and site management while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil construction projects

• Work closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site crews

• Coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently

• Manage set-out, inspections, measurements, and quality assurance processes

• Monitor project progress against program and provide reporting on performance and outputs

• Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports, dockets, schedules, and site records

• Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, and resource planning

• Ensure all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and company procedures are followed on site

• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement across project operations

• Support the delivery of earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and associated civil infrastructure projects

Job Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)

• Previous experience in civil construction or project delivery highly regarded

• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing priorities

• Sound understanding of construction methodologies and safety requirements

• White Card (Construction Induction)

• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport

• Ability to work to deadlines and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
