General Labourer/ Customer Service

About the role

This is a casual General Labourer/ Customer Service position with Peters Glen Shade Houses, a reputable Shade House manufacturing company based in Toowoomba, QLD. You will be responsible for a variety of general labouring tasks to support the efficient operation of our production and distribution facilities.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with the assembly, packaging, and distribution of our manufactured products

2. Operating machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

3. Operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently as required for production tasks.

4. Performing general cleaning and maintenance duties around the workplace ensuring you keep the workplace clean and tidy.

5. Adhering to all workplace health, safety and quality standards.

6. Assisting Customers on occasion.

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a general labouring or manufacturing role, ideally within the Assembly & Process Work industry, with an ability to read and understand drawings, previous experience working with shade cloth will be looked upon favorably.

2. Current drivers licence and Valid Forklift licence are requirements of this role.

3. Good physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks

4. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting.

5. Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.

6. Willingness to work in a team environment and follow instructions promptly with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

7. Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required.

8. Ability to confidently interact with customers.
