Provider Assist (PA)
About the role
Own the relationships, drive the improvement, back yourself to make an impact.
We're looking for a clinical professional who loves building relationships and spotting opportunities to drive quality improvement, to become the person our aged care provider clients call first, and help deliver real, lasting improvement in the quality of care they provide.
As a Clinical Improvement Manager with Provider Assist, you'll own a portfolio of aged care providers, CEOs, executives and clinical decision-makers. You'll build real relationships, spot issues before they're raised, and lead the quality improvement work that follows, backed by our Chief Clinical Officer, and the full weight of PA's clinical team and expertise behind you.
This isn't a job where you wait to be told what to do. You'll come with your own read on how to build a portfolio and make an impact, and the instinct to pick up the phone because you've seen something relevant, not only when it's on a to-do list.
Why join Provider Assist?
Provider Assist supports aged care organisations to navigate change, strengthen clinical governance and continually improve the quality of care they provide.
You'll be part of a team that values quality, accountability, curiosity and practical solutions, and that backs its people to operate with real autonomy. We're confident, straight-talking, and not interested in overcomplicating things – we’re about achieving client outcomes above ticking boxes.
About you
You're excited to be hands-on, and you're driven by the idea of building your own patch rather than managing someone else's.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Expert working knowledge of aged care quality and compliance, including the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation and incident management – gap identification and remediation
A genuine interest in clinical systems and quality improvement as a discipline, and confidence leading that work once you've identified it, not just spotting
Confidence to be the face of a relationship well before there's any commercial engagement and a natural ability to build trust and rapport quickly, and sustain it over time, with CEOs, executives and clinical leaders knowing when to initiate contact and conversations, not waiting for a reason to be handed to you
A love for staying current - read industry news, regulatory changes or reports and immediately think "what does this mean for my clients"
Confidence being curious asking questions that surface real issues, and being genuinely useful in the moment, not just personable, knowing when a Provider needs help and not being shy about making sure we provide it
Strong written and verbal communication, and sound professional judgement
The role
Your work will vary according to each client's needs, but day to day will typically involve:
Owning a defined portfolio of aged care provider relationships, most likely CEO, executive or clinical decision-maker level
Building and maintaining those relationships by acting as a business partner, knowing when to reach out with helpful and relevant information: drawing out issues, helping in the moment, and knowing when a client needs help, and making sure they get it
Keeping your portfolio genuinely aware of PA's clinical services, so when they need help, you're the first call they make
Leading the clinical improvement work that comes out of those conversations yourself, backed by the CCO’s technical direction on the complex or high-stakes components
Building and adapting your own plan for how you work and build your portfolio
Autonomy with support
You'll be trusted to build your portfolio, make judgement calls and lead the work you identify on your own initiative. At the same time, you're backed by CCO’s deep technical expertise and PA's broader clinical team, so you're never carrying the most complex work alone.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. If you meet many, but not all, of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply. We value potential, self-awareness and a genuine drive to build something of your own.
