About the role
We are seeking a full-time Production Support/Admin to support our Production Coordinator and team by managing job orders, inventory tracking, and production cost analysis. Your primary focus will be to:
Raise, close, and cost production orders for make-to-order components and sub-assemblies.
Close jobs and update inventory in the ERP system.
Analyse labour and part bookings, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels for manufactured items and raise orders as required.
Track the progress of production orders through the workshop, assisting the Production Manager in maintaining schedules.
Assist in checking and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system against engineering drawings.
Provide general production support as needed to improve efficiency and accuracy.
You:
· Proven experience in a manufacturing support, production planning, job costing, or similar role.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues before they impact production, inventory, or costing.
· Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, including the ability to compare data, investigate labour and material bookings, identify variances, and maintain accurate inventory, production orders, and job costing.
· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly changing manufacturing environment.
· A proactive, solutions-focused approach, demonstrating initiative, sound problem-solving skills, and the ability to keep work progressing despite changing priorities or obstacles.
· Confidence to follow established processes while remaining adaptable and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Resilience and the ability to work effectively in a busy, dynamic manufacturing environment where change is ongoing.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, stores, purchasing, and other departments.
· Well-developed computer skills, including experience using ERP systems to manage job orders, inventory, and cost tracking, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
