Lead Installer

About the role

As Lead Installer, you will be responsible for leading installation teams on site and ensuring projects are installed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a full-time permanent position with Instaco Pty Ltd, a growing Queensland business specialising in premium outdoor living products, including awnings, external blinds, Louvretec systems, retractable roof systems, shade structures and architectural umbrellas.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and supervising installation crews on residential and commercial projects

• Installation of awnings, external blinds, retractable roof systems, Louvretec systems and shade structures

• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and installation details

• Setting out and accurately measuring installations

• Coordinating with Project Managers and the office team to ensure projects run smoothly

• Ensuring installations are completed within allocated labour hours and project timeframes

• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

• Completing site pre-starts, SWMS and required WHS documentation

• Identifying and reporting site issues, variations or potential installation problems

• Mentoring and training other installers

About you

• Proven experience in the building, construction or outdoor living industry

• Strong carpentry, construction or installation experience

• Confident leading a small installation team

• Can read and understand construction drawings and plans

• Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship

• Can work independently and make sound decisions on site

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Understands workplace health and safety requirements

• Holds a current Australian driver's licence

• Holds an appropriate Queensland building licence: QBCC Carpentry licence, QBCC Restricted Building licence, or QBCC Building licence relevant to the work being undertaken
