About the role

Centennial Plaza Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, friendly and minimum of 2 years experienced Pharmacist Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Sydney NSW 2000. This role is fundamental to maintaining the high standard of patient care and operational efficiency at our pharmacy. As a Pharmacist Assistant with experience, you will work alongside our qualified pharmacists to support the delivery of excellent pharmaceutical services, ensuring that our customers receive accurate medication advice and products. This position offers the opportunity to utilise your established expertise in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations

• Managing pharmacy stock levels, conducting inventory checks, and placing orders with suppliers

• Processing prescriptions and maintaining detailed records in accordance with legal requirements

• Providing customer service and addressing routine enquiries about over-the-counter medications and general health products

• Supporting the maintenance of a clean, organised and hygienic pharmacy environment

• Assisting with the organisation of pharmacy shelves and ensuring products are correctly labelled and positioned

• Supporting the pharmacist in monitoring patient medication therapy and identifying potential drug interactions

• Helping to ensure compliance with pharmacy legislation and professional standards

What we're looking for

• Previous minimum of 2 years experience working as a Pharmacist Assistant in a community pharmacy setting

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, their uses, side effects and storage requirements

• Competence in pharmacy dispensing procedures and prescription handling

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when dealing with medications

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff

• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach

• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale software

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance (preferred)

• A strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation
