For 30 years Wyanga has walked alongside Aboriginal Elders, supporting them to remain safe, independent and connected to community, family, culture and Country while continuing to live in their own homes.

We are looking for a Care & Wellbeing Manager to help lead the next chapter of care at Wyanga.

This is a meaningful leadership role for someone who understands that aged care is about more than services and compliance – it’s about people, relationships, trust and ensuring every Elder feels seen, supported and respected.

You’ll lead and strengthen the way care and wellbeing services are delivered across the organisation, supporting staff, guiding quality practice, overseeing service delivery, managing risk and helping ensure Elders receive safe, culturally responsive and person-centred support.

This is a role for someone who can balance compassion with leadership, big-picture thinking with day-to-day problem solving, and quality care with practical action.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same, but your work will focus on helping ensure our care and wellbeing services run safely, effectively and in a way that reflects who we are as an organisation.

You’ll:

• Lead and support the delivery of high-quality care and wellbeing services for Elders living at home and in community
• Provide leadership, mentoring and day-to-day support to care and wellbeing teams
• Strengthen quality, compliance and safe practice across aged care service delivery
• Support care planning, service reviews, risk management and wellbeing outcomes for clients
• Work closely with Care Partners, Care Coordinators and frontline staff to ensure services are practical, responsive and culturally safe
• Help manage incidents, escalations, workforce matters and service improvements
• Support the implementation of aged care reforms including Support at Home and CHSP requirements
• Build strong relationships with Elders, families, carers, community and key stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement, workforce capability and a positive team culture

Who we’re looking for

You might come from aged care, community services, nursing, case management, care management or service delivery leadership – but most importantly, you care deeply about people and know how to lead in complex environments.

You’re someone who:

• Leads with empathy, accountability and common sense
• Understands that safe, quality care is built through strong relationships and good systems
• Can support, coach and bring out the best in people
• Is calm under pressure and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Has strong operational judgement and can confidently navigate risk, compliance and service delivery challenges
• Understands person-centred, strengths-based and wellness approaches to care
• Values cultural safety, dignity, independence and community connection
• Can move comfortably between strategic thinking and practical action

Ideally, you’ll bring

• Experience in aged care, home care, health, community services or a related sector
• Experience leading or coordinating teams and service delivery
• Sound understanding of aged care legislation, quality standards and funding environments (including CHSP and/or Support at Home highly regarded)
• Strong people leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in quality, incident management, risk or continuous improvement is highly desirable
• Relevant qualifications in aged care, nursing, health, community services, management or similar (or equivalent experience)

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: Negotiated based on experience, qualifications and leadership capability
