About the role
The Community Development Team Leader provides leadership, supervision and specialist guidance to the Community Development team, ensuring high-quality, culturally safe and community-led initiatives are implemented for new and emerging communities from refugee, asylum seeker and migrant backgrounds. The role oversees project planning and delivery, drives co-design and community capacity building, and ensures programs align with organisational priorities, human rights principles and community development frameworks as well as the Settlement Council of Australia, Settlement Outcomes Standards.
This position holds responsibility for staff supervision, planning of work, performance oversight and practice development. Other key aspects of the role include the capacity to develop, enhance and maintain external service provider partnerships and contribute to strategic planning processes. In addition to this the position must ensure strong monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems are in place to ensure compliance with funding and practice requirements.
This position will be contracted on a temporary full time basis until 17 September 2027.
