Perth Seawater Desalination Plant | Permanent Full-Time

SUEZ is a global leader in water and environmental services, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to communities around the world. We are currently seeking a Support Technician (Electrical) to join our team at the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to play a key role in maintaining one of Australia's critical water infrastructure assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will support the plant's maintenance strategy and help ensure the ongoing reliability, availability and performance of plant assets. Working within a highly automated environment, you will undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities, fault finding, equipment repairs and system troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems.

• Diagnosing and rectifying equipment and process faults.

• Conducting instrument calibrations, condition monitoring and plant inspections.

• Completing maintenance activities and recording work in the CMMS system.

• Supporting plant operations during unplanned events and participating in an on-call roster.

• Promoting a strong safety, quality and environmental culture.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• A Trade Qualification in Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I).

• Minimum 5 years' experience in water, petrochemical, mining or other highly automated industrial environments.

• Experience working with PLC, DCS, instrumentation and high-voltage assets.

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.

• A hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• Desalination plant maintenance experience.

• Exposure to asset-intensive industrial operations.

• Experience working within safety and quality management systems.
