About the role

Focus Hair Studio is seeking an experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our talented team in Woodlands, WA. This is a full-time/part time position that offers the opportunity to lead by example, mentor junior stylists, and deliver exceptional hair services to our valued clientele. As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will be at the forefront of our salon's creative vision, setting the standard for quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction. This role is essential to maintaining Focus Hair Studio's reputation for excellence and innovation within the hair and beauty industry.

What you'll be doing

• Providing high-quality hair styling, cutting, colouring and treatment services to a diverse range of clients

• Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences and lifestyle needs, offering expert recommendations

• Staying current with the latest trends, techniques and products in hair care and styling

• Mentoring and supporting junior stylists, providing guidance on techniques, client service and professional development

• Maintaining impeccable standards of hygiene, sanitation and salon presentation

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

• Contributing to the salon's creative vision by sharing ideas and collaborating with the team

• Managing appointments efficiently and ensuring clients have a positive experience from arrival to departure

• Assisting with product recommendations and retail sales to enhance the client experience

• Upholding Focus Hair Studio's values of professionalism, quality and exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years of professional hair styling experience in a salon environment

• Current and valid hair styling qualification or certification recognised in Australia

• Advanced expertise in cutting, colouring, styling and hair treatments

• Strong knowledge of current hair trends and the ability to adapt techniques to suit individual client needs

• Proven track record of building and maintaining a loyal client base

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand client requirements

• Natural leadership ability and experience mentoring or training other stylists

• High standards of personal presentation and grooming

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

• Strong time management and organisational skills

• A genuine passion for hair styling and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Experience with salon management systems and appointment scheduling software is advantageous
