Environmental Field Technician

CBased Environmental, a leading supplier of environmental monitoring, technical and analytical services throughout NSW is seeking a full time Environmental Field Technician based in Singleton working throughout the Hunter region.

Reporting directly to the Operations Coordinator, the role is focused on supporting the operations of the Field Services team in delivering environmental monitoring services to a wide range of clients. Duties primarily include preparation for field work, collection of samples, operation of sampling equipment, field analysis, data retrieval, equipment maintenance and calibration.

The position will be based from our Singleton office and applicants from the Singleton region and nearby surrounds are preferred. Work is predominantly in the Hunter Valley but may occasionally require travel to regional NSW. Though initially offered as a permanent position, those seeking a casual position are also encouraged to apply. Weekend overtime shift may be offered when required.

Strong communication skills, an ability to work independently and good problem-solving skills are critical for the role.

While no experience is necessary as full training with be provided, applicants with qualifications including a Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Technology, a degree in Environmental Science, land management experience/ working outdoors and related disciplines or experience in the environmental or laboratory sectors will be highly regarded.

All applicants must have a current Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence with an ability to competently drive manual 4WD vehicles, basic computer literacy and flexibility in work hours to suit company schedules in the outdoor environment. Ongoing drug and alcohol testing will be a requirement of the role.
