Tradesperson - Pumps - Infield

As part of the Dowdens Pumping and Water Treatment Industrial Workshop, our Infield Tradespersons keep pumps, pump stations and water treatment systems running efficiently throughout the Mackay and Bowen Basin.

Working directly in the field rather than a fixed workshop; installing, servicing and repairing equipment on-site, combining hands-on mechanical skill with practical problem-solving abilities to provide the best outcome for all.

Based from our head office in Mackay (no FIFO option available) this role is perfect for a Tradesperson who enjoys the flexibility and opportunity to work on a wide range of pumping and water treatment products and projects throughout the Mackay and surrounding regions whilst continuing to broaden their experience and capabilities!

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair pumps, pumping equipment and pipelines

• Troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance and repairs to pumping and water treatment equipment

• Contribute to the manufacture, install and maintenance of pump stations, pontoons and transfer stations

• Collaborate with the team to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues

• Recording of servicing information, photographs and other documentation relevant to the job

Eligibility

• Trade Qualification - Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Plumber / Electrician OR;

• Technician experienced with pumps and / or pumping equipment

• Current manual Drivers Licence

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals and parts information

• Supply own hand tools

Desirable, but not essential

• HR Truck / Dogging HRW Licence

• Machinery / Operator / Poly Welding competencies 

• Mine site competencies (Standard 11 Generics, Coal Board Medical etc).
