About the program

The program offers a 12-month, multi-agency rotation, giving graduates practical experience across government agencies in specialised ICT streams, including Cyber Security, Data Science, ICT Operations and Geospatial Information Systems.

You will work in skilled digital teams that mentor and support you through each rotation.

Opportunities vary each year based on agency business needs.

Since 2024, 58 graduates have started their public sector careers through the program — and you could be next.

The Office of Digital Government leads Western Australia’s digital transformation and delivers the award-winning whole-of-government Digital Public Sector Graduate Program.

The program partners with some of WA’s largest government agencies to attract high-quality ICT and STEM graduates and build digital capability across the public sector.

The program supports your transition into a longer-term public sector career.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for graduates who are passionate about making a positive impact through public service and are eager to contribute to the ongoing transformation of government.

You will be motivated by opportunities to improve how government operates, strengthen digital capability, and support the delivery of secure, accessible and efficient services for the Western Australian community.

We value curious, innovative and collaborative individuals who want to help shape the future of a modern, connected and digitally enabled public sector.

You will share the values of the public sector, think creatively, communicate your ideas clearly and be willing to step outside your comfort zone.
