About the role
Sacred Heart Primary School Thornlie Child Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated early childhood professional to step into a temporary fixed term role within our vibrant, school‑based early learning environment.
Supporting up to 56 children aged 2-5 years, our Centre operates Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 6.00pm, 50 weeks of the year. We offer a nurturing, play‑rich Early Learning and Pre‑Kindy Program grounded in strong relationships and high‑quality care.
The ideal candidate will possess a dedicated passion for early childhood education and care. They will collaborate with families and fellow educators to deliver high-quality programs, creating an educational setting that is inviting, enjoyable, safe, and inclusive. They will strive to establish and maintain, positive, secure, and nurturing relationships with children and their families. Additionally, they will be adept at working as part of a team and excel in communicating with staff, children, and their families.
What We’re Looking For
· Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent).
· At least 2 years’ experience as an educator within an Early Childhood Service.
· Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation.
· Current WWC Check.
· First aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma certificates.
· Immediate start
The successful applicant will also:
· Have prior Responsible Person experience and be willing to obtain a CEWA Responsible Person certificate.
· Work towards Accreditation to Work in Catholic Education (Schools).
· Obtain a CrimTrac police check and Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education
· Be available 38 hours per week for open and close shifts on a fair, rotating roster.
